Fixed term contract for 2 years, 1.0 FTE.
The Strategy and International Business (SIB) Group are recruiting for a ‘WBS Houlden Fellow’ post for the next academic year (2023/24). The position is fixed term for a period of 24 months.
We are looking for an ambitious scholar whose research aligns and will contribute to the existing research within the SIB group. In the group we conduct world-class research in the areas of strategy, international business and sustainability, employing a variety of research approaches. Our areas of interest include modes and processes of internationalization, knowledge transfer in multinationals, strategy as practice, innovation dynamics, open strategy, technology and market emergence, complexity and uncertainty, and behavioural strategy. Results from the studies of the group are published in top journals such as Strategic Management Journal, Academy of Management Review, Academy of Management Journal, Journal of International Business, Journal of Management Studies, Journal of Management and have an impact in decision making and policy.
The SIB Houlden Fellow will join a group of scholars who are known for developing novel lines of enquiry in their domains and who enjoy working within WBS and across the departments of the Warwick University. We are particularly interested in applicants who have access to novel empirical settings and are willing to engage with multiple perspectives to enhance their research agenda. Our aim is to provide emerging researchers with a collegiate and developmental environment that will act as the springboard for their career and personal goals.
The postholder will divide their time between three areas of activity: (1) progressing their own research agenda; (2) supporting current WBS research activity and (3) gaining valuable teaching experience. All Houlden Fellows will benefit from the mentoring of a Professorial colleague, to help them develop their academic careers, over the two-year period and have their own budget for research and travel.
Preference may be given to candidates that will complement the existing strengths in the School; and bridge between existing areas of expertise in the School.
Interview Date: 28 March 2023
