Fixed term contract for 2 years, 1.0 FTE.
The Marketing Group are recruiting for a ‘WBS Houlden Fellow’ post for the next academic year (2023/24). The position is fixed term for a period of 24 months.
The WBS Marketing group has a reputation for academic excellence, teaching quality and collegiality. As a group we share a common belief in the positive impact of responsible marketing and sales practices in modern organisations and society. Our research, teaching and impact activities demonstrate our enthusiasm for and commitment to this belief.
There are four main themes to our research: strategic marketing, consumer behaviour and decisions, selling and sales management. We explore important and topical research questions in the marketing and sales domains, with the purpose of extending academic knowledge and determining the impacts on managers, policy makers, consumers, and society at large. Our work considers the relevance and implications of marketing and sales activity on societal and environmental sustainability.
Successful candidates will join a growing group of scholars, who enjoy working together in a collegiate, supportive, and developmental environment. We are proud of a group culture based on a developmental, inclusive, supportive and positive approach, and one that values feedback, teamwork, transparency, and discussion. Our goal is to provide an excellent environment for positive, talented, and enthusiastic researchers to achieve career and personal goals.
The postholder will divide their time between three areas of activity: (1) progressing their own research agenda; (2) supporting current WBS research activity and (3) gaining valuable teaching experience. All Houlden Fellows will benefit from the mentoring of a Professorial colleague, to help them develop their academic careers, over the two-year period and have their own budget for research and travel.
Preference may be given to candidates that will complement the existing strengths in the School; and bridge between existing areas of expertise in the School.
